Nancy is a writer, a speaker, and a lifelong learner.  She made her foray into entrepreneurship, starting her company, Nancy Gates, Inc. (NGI) in 2011. The company produces resources designed to widen the knowledge of adults and kids, using the hashtag #learningasalifestyle to encourage a habit of expanding the mind through reading, writing, travel, and personal productivity.

 

She launched her career as an author, writing her first novel, Justine and the Ugly Truth, which was published in January 2019. The 226-page Christian fiction work highlights the spiritual journey of a single, professional woman, her struggle with the seven deadly sins, and her will to overcome. The universal lessons found in its tastefully written fifteen chapters are applicable to real life women seeking real life. 

 

Nancy is the founder and former director of The National Women’s Forum Conference and the Well Done Discipleship Retreat. She uses a combination of wit, humor, intellect and inspiration to engage her audiences, imparting valuable lessons and ideas for personal development and success.

 

A native Indianapolitan, Nancy lives there with her husband, Lambert Wade Gates, Sr.  She is the mom of two sons, Lambert Wade, Jr., (Erika) and Cameron David. She is “Mimi” to three granddaughters, Teagan Noemi, Elyse Danielle, and her grand-angel Kinsley Alaska (d. February 2021)).
